There are many reasons why a physical fitness program is one of the crucial components of a client’s crucial recovery. Regular exercise causes the release of endorphins. Endorphins have been shown to have a “feel good” effect on the brain and body, to control pain, reduce depression and anxiety, relieve stress, and to decrease cravings for addictive substances. As clients progress through their sessions with their personal trainers, they’ll not only notice a difference in their physical appearance, but they will also begin to feel strong again and their self-esteem will increase.
Diet and nutrition counselors will discuss the importance of diet, nutrition and regular exercise. Clients will meet with counselors on a one-on-one and group basis where counselors will outline an individualized healthy, easy to manage and maintain diet for each client, based on their likes and dislikes.
